Where to hang it
Cats love high spots where they can watch what is going on. Near a window or in a quiet corner of the living room usually works well. You need a solid anchor point — a ceiling hook, beam or sturdy stand — and should check the fixing before your cat uses it.
Don’t want to drill into the ceiling? The elevated hammock bed with metal frame stands on the floor and gives the same hammock feel.
Tips to help your cat take to it
- Put a cushion or blanket that smells of your cat inside
- Hang it at a low height for the first few days
- A treat or toy inside helps spark their curiosity
As it is made of cotton, it can be hand washed; let it dry completely before hanging it up again.
